Antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Pseudomonas aeruginosa (10⁶ CFU/ml) was cultured on LB agar plates. Fifty microliters of 2 µg/µl stock solutions of the hexane and chloroform extracts was slowly absorbed into the sterilized paper disc (diameter: 8 mm) and adhered to the surface of the plate. One percent silver sulfadiazine was used as a standard. The clear zone around the disk was measured in millimeters. Analysis was performed in triplicate, and the results were reported as the mean ± SD. P < 0.05; P < 0.01; P < 0.01.
