The effect of SKBHT on mouse lung histology. C57BL/6 mice (n = 5/group) received a single i.t. injection of PBS (a) or 2 mg/kg b.w. of LPS (c, d, and e). At 2 h after treatments, two different amounts of SKBHT (1 mg/kg b.w. or 10 mg/kg b.w.) were delivered similarly to the lung (d and e, respectively). Lung was perfused and harvested for HE staining. At least three different sections per mouse were analyzed by microscopy. Representative areas of each section are shown (100 magnifications, scale bar = 50 m).
