Sesamin Promotes Neurite Outgrowth under Insufficient Nerve Growth Factor Condition in PC12 Cells through ERK1/2 Pathway and SIRT1 Modulation

<div>Effect of sesamin enhanced NGF function on neurite outgrowth markers and synaptic connection. After cotreated with or without 1, 5, and 10 <i>μ</i>M of sesamin and 20 ng/ml of NGF for 72 h, (a) cell lysates were collected to investigate the synaptophysin and GAP43 protein levels by western blot analysis. The <i>β</i>-actin was used as an internal control and band intensities were quantified by using TotalLab TL120 software.
