Sesamin Promotes Neurite Outgrowth under Insufficient Nerve Growth Factor Condition in PC12 Cells through ERK1/2 Pathway and SIRT1 Modulation

<div>Effects of combination treatment on signaling pathways. To investigate the effect of sesamin on phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and Akt pathway-dependent NGF stimulation, PC12  cells were cotreated with various concentrations of sesamin (1, 5, and 10 <i>μ</i>M) and NGF 20 ng/ml for 4 h. (a) The levels of p-ERK1/2 and p-Akt were measured by western blot analysis and normalized by the total form of ERK1/2 and Akt, respectively. (b) The band intensity was quantified by TotalLab TL120.
