The following bioactive marker substances were identified: albiflorin and paeoniflorin from Paeonia lactiflora, prim-O-glucosylcimifugin and 5-O-methylvisammioside from Saposhnikovia divaricate, acteoside from Plantago asiatica, and ferulic acid and ligustilide from Angelica sinensis and Ligusticum striatum.
