Vascular Protective Effects of <i>Malus toringoides</i> (Rehd.) Hughes Extracts and their Mechanism in Diabetic Rats and HUVECs

<div>Effects of EMT on adhesion molecule expression in rat aortic histological sections and HUVECs. (a) Immunohistochemical analysis of adhesion molecule expression in aortic sections from a diabetic rat model established for 6 weeks and administered treatment for 8 weeks. (b–e) HUVECs were pretreated for 12 h with the indicated concentrations of EMT and stimulated for 48 h with high glucose (25 mM). ELISA and Western blot analyses of ICAM-1, VCAM-1, and E-selectin were performed as described in the materials and methods section.
