Antitumor Effects of Delta (9)-Tetrahydrocannabinol and Cannabinol on Cholangiocarcinoma Cells and Xenograft Mouse Models

Figure 3

Effect of THC and CBN on cell proliferation and cell migration. (a) THC and CBN significantly inhibited the proliferation of CCA (HuCCT1) cells at 24 h–48 h in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, HuCCT1 cells were significantly inhibited by LY294002 and U0126 (). (b) Inhibition of cancer cell migration was evaluated via wound healing assays of HuCCT1 treated with THC and CBN at a concentration of 15 μM. These images show scratched and recovering wounded areas (marked by grey lines) on confluence monolayers of HuCCT1 cells at 0 h, 6 h, and 12 h, (c) The wound healing assay demonstrated that THC and CBN showed significantly inhibited cell migration compared to the control ( versus the control cells).
