Patient population. Five of the 99 patients who underwent SPKT were excluded because of age limitation. The remaining 94 patients were randomly divided into the Dex and control groups. Amongst these patients, 14 patients were excluded for repeated operations and lost to follow-up. Thus, 80 patients were included in the final analysis (n = 40, each).
