Verbena Attenuates Adriamycin-Induced Renal Tubular Injury via Inhibition of ROS-ERK1/2-NLRP3 Signal Pathway

Figure 3

TAEV ameliorates ADR-induced renal tubular epithelial cell injury. (a and b) Cells were insulted with ADR (0, 0.5, 1 μg/mL) for 24 h (bar = 100 μm). Cell viability was measured using CCK-8. ( and ) (c) IC50 of TAEV on NRK-52E cells. IC50 was calculated according to the cell viability of cells treated with different concentrations (0, 0.0390625, 0.078125, 0.15625, 0.3125, 0.625, 1.25, 2.5, 5, and 10 mg/mL) using Graphpad prism software. (d and e) Cells pretreated with TAEV (1 mg/mL) were challenged with ADR (1 μg/mL) for 24 h (bar = 100 μm). Cell viability was tested. (## versus control and versus ADR). (f) Cells were treated with ADR (1 μg/mL) and TAEV (1 mg/mL) for 24 h and then stained with TUNEL and DAPI to detect the apoptotic cells.
