Muscone inhibits the production of DAMP-triggered (damage-associated molecular pattern trigger) inflammatory cytokines. In addition, muscone inhibits the signal activation of p38 and NF-κB under DAMP-induced conditions (a). Muscone inhibits rmHMGB1 (1 μg/ml)-induced increase in cytoinflammatory factors in the supernatant of macrophages. (b).
