Effects of Hibiscus sabdariffa Calyxes Aqueous Extract on Antioxidant Status and Histopathology in Mammary Tumor-Induced in Rats

NOR = Animals serving as normal control and receiving distilled water (vehicle); DMBA = Animals serving as negative control and receiving distilled water (vehicle); TAMOX + DMBA = Animals serving as positive control and receiving tamoxifen at a dose of 3.3 mg/kg; and H. sabdariffa + DMBA = Animals receiving H. sabdariffa calyxes extract at doses of 125, 250, and 500 mg/kg. All animals except those in the normal group (NOR) were exposed to a single dose of DMBA (50 mg/kg; s.c.).
