Sulindac sulfide-induced apoptosis is enhanced in serum-free media versus serum-containing media. Equal numbers of HT-29 cells were plated in each well of 6-well plates, allowed to attach overnight, and then incubated in serum-free media and media containing 5% FBS overnight before treatments with vehicle and sulindac sulfide for the indicated durations.
