Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 Deficiency Attenuates Experimental Colitis-Induced Adipose Tissue Lipolysis

FGF21 antibody administration inhibited experimental colitis-induced eWAT lipolysis. C57BL/6J mice were treated with 2.5% dextran sodium sulfate (DSS) for 7 days, as described in the Materials and Methods. The mice in the WT DSS group were injected with FGF21 antibody (abFGF21) at 5 mg/kg body weight every other day starting from day 3 after colitis was induced. (a) Serum FGF21 protein levels.
