Effect of ZnPP on cell proliferation and HO-1 expression of PC-3 cells. (a) PC-3 cells were treated with various concentrations of ZnPP for 48 h, and number of live cells was estimated by MTS cell proliferation assay as described in Section 2. Results were expressed as Absorbance at 490 nm (.). ; * compared with untreated control. (b) PC-3 cells were treated with various concentrations of ZnPP for 24 h, and HO-1 expression was determined by western blot analysis as described in Section 2 using specific antibodies against β-actin and HO-1. Immunoreactive protein bands detected by WesternDot 625 appeared as fluorescent bands.
