Acetic Acid-Induced Ulcerative Colitis in Sprague Dawley Rats Is Suppressed by Hydroethanolic Extract of <i>Cordia vignei</i> Leaves through Reduced Serum Levels of TNF-<i>α</i> and IL-6

<div>Effect of hydroethanolic leaf <i>Cordia vignei</i> extract on the body weights of acetic acid-induced colitic rats. Rats received daily oral administration of normal saline (10 ml kg<sup>-1</sup>), sulfasalazine (500 mg kg<sup>-1</sup>), or CVE (30-300 mg kg<sup>-1</sup>) for 7 days. On day 4, rats were challenged with 500 <i>μ</i>l acetic acid.
