Exploring the Therapeutic Potential of <i>β</i>-Hydroxybutyrate (BHB) in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Journey into Fat Browning, Autophagy, and Tumor Slimming

<div>Supplementing with <i>β</i>-hydroxybutyrate increased autophagy in Caki-1 cells. Caki-1 cells were treated with decreasing glucose levels, either alone or in combination with 10 mM or 25 mM BHB, for 48 hours and 72 hours. RT-PCR was employed to assess the mRNA expression of (a and b) Beclin-1, (c and d) LC3II<i>β</i>, (e and f) ATG5, and (g and h) P62.
