Exploring the Therapeutic Potential of <i>β</i>-Hydroxybutyrate (BHB) in Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma: A Journey into Fat Browning, Autophagy, and Tumor Slimming

<div><i>β</i>-hydroxybutyrate increased fat browning in Caki-1 cells. Caki-1 cells were subjected to decreased glucose concentrations during 48 and 72 hours, either alone or in conjunction with 10 mM or 25 mM BHB. RT-PCR was employed to evaluate the mRNA expression of (a and b) PGC-1<i>α</i>, (c and d) UCP-1.
