Clinical hypothyroidism for patients receiving thyroxin treatment, and Subclinical hypothyroidism when TSH > 5.0 mIU/L with normal T4 (10.55–25.74 pmol/L), while overt hypothyroidism when TSH > 5.0 mIU/L with low T4 <10.55 pmol/L. Subclinical hyperthyroidism when TSH < 0.5 mIU/L with normal T4 (10.55–25.74 pmol/L) and overt hyperthyroidism when TSH < 0.5 mIU/L with high T4 >25.74 pmol/L.
