(a) C2C12 cells were plated in 96-well plates, and the SRB assay was used to detect the viability of C2C12 cells after administration of glucose at different concentrations. (b–d) C2C12 cells were treated with varying glucose concentrations, and the mRNA expression levels of the differentiation genes MyHC4 and MyHC7, the myogenic factor MyoD, and the muscle secretory factors FNDC5 and BDNF were detected.  < 0.001, comparison between the high glucose concentration group and the normal group.
