Schematic of the photonic crystal-integrated solar cell for solar greenhouse technology. The photonic crystal selectively transmits red and blue lights for crop photosynthesis, while ultraviolet (UV), green, yellow, and infrared (IR) lights are reflected using the optical photonic crystal and supplied to thin-film solar cells. The photonic crystal was set at various tilting angles (θ) to direct reflected light into the solar cell for electricity generation.
