The study area involved in this study is the Northwest Pacific region. The time period of the study is from 2000 to 2018, and the paths of TC and their maximum wind speeds are plotted for the period. Cat-x refers to categories of TC on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, which is a system used to categorize hurricanes based on their sustained wind speeds.
