Challenging, Safe, and Effective Use of External Iliac Vein for Insertion of Tunneled Cuffed Hemodialysis Catheters: A Single-Center Prospective Study

<div>The outcome of cases at the end of the study was as follows, 40 tunneled cuffed catheters were still functioning, and 15 cases were shifted to CAPD. 5 patients were referred to the intervention radiology department for insertion of transhepatic inferior vena caval tunneled cuffed catheters. CAPD: continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis; IVC: inferior vena cava.</div>
