Aloe-Emodin-Mediated Photodynamic Therapy Induces Apoptosis in Basal Cell Carcinoma Cells via Activation of ERK/JNK Signaling Pathway

Figure 2

The viability of TE 354.T cells after AE-mediated PDT treatment. (a) Percentage of TE 354.T cell viability after treatment with varied AE concentrations and light energy doses. The photosensitizer at concentrations of 0, 2.5, 5, and 10 μM were introduced into the adhered cells for 4 hours and later irradiated with 0, 12, 24, and 36 J/cm2. Cell viability was analysed 12 h postirradiation by CCK-8 kit (, , and ); (b) viability of ATCC TE 354.T cell in the control group. The cells were incubated for 4 hours with either DMSO or without any treatment. The cells were exposed to irradiation with an energy dosage of 0, 12, 24, or 36 J/cm2. No significant difference was reported between the two control groups at any given dosage of energy ().
