In vitro seeding and cross-seeding experiments with TTR and IAPP measured with thioflavin T. Preformed fibrils of IAPP seeded TTR (blue circles) and IAPP (red triangles, insert). No other increase in signals occurred. Thus, TTR fibrils did not seed IAPP (red circles).
