Type 2 diabetes is associated with alterations in skeletal muscle MAPK proteins. Plantaris
and soleus muscles from LNZ and obese (fa/fa) Zuckers (OSXZ) were analyzed by Western blot analysis for diabetes-related
changes in total Erk1/2-, p38 MAPK, and Jnk protein expression. Protein
quantification was normalization to the abundance of β-actin. Results are expressed as a percent of the normal, LNZ value.
