Mean fluorescence intensity was calculated for a total of approximately 10 cells per image from six images per mouse and group means were calculated with respect to cell size. Group means for average nitrotyrosine fluorescence per cell are binned by neuron size according to area²: (a) 0–200 μm², (b) 201–400 μm², (c) 401–600 μm², and (d) ≥601 μm².
