Characterization of Mice Ubiquitously Overexpressing Human 15-Lipoxygenase-1: Effect of Diabetes on Peripheral Neuropathy and Treatment with Menhaden Oil

<div>Effects of nerve growth factor (NGF), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), or resolvin D1 (50 nM) on neurite growth by dorsal root ganglion neurons derived from wild-type and 15-LOX-1 transgenic mice. Dorsal root ganglion neurons were collected and cultured as described in Section <a href="https://static-preview.hindawi.com/articles/jdr/volume-2021/5564477/figures/#sec2">2</a>. Afterwards, the effects of nerve growth factor (50 ng/ml), docosahexaenoic acid (40 <i>μ</i>M), eicosapentaenoic acid (40 <i>μ</i>M), or resolvin D1 (50 nM) on neurite outgrowth were determined.
