Switching from Insulin Degludec plus Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 Inhibitor to Insulin Degludec/Liraglutide Improves Glycemic Variability in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes: A Preliminary Prospective Observation Study

Figure 5

Mean glucose concentrations during the phases of the day. The figure was constructed for all 12 participants, and the error bars represent the standard deviation of measurements. All data was parametric and analyzed by Student’s -test. The mean glucose concentrations are shown for the preprandial periods, postprandial periods, and overnight. The preprandial phase was defined as 60 minutes before the delivery of a meal and the postprandial phase as 180 minutes from the start of the meal. The nocturnal phase was defined as 03:00–06:00. Black diamond: insulin degludec plus a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor; black circle, insulin degludec/liraglutide. ; ; NS: not significant.
