 (2)  Apply Algorithm 1 for 𝑄_𝑗 and 𝐵_𝑗.

 (3)  Compute the residual, 𝑟_𝑗=𝐴_𝑗−𝑄_𝑗𝐵_𝑗.

 (4)  Code 𝑟_𝑗 as 𝑟_𝑗̂ with a parallel floating point coding algorithm.

 (5)  Store 𝑄_𝑗, 𝐵_𝑗 and compressed 𝑟_𝑗.
