[Retracted] Reversing Postcardiopulmonary Bypass Associated Cognitive Dysfunction Using k-Opioid Receptor Agonists to Regulate Microglial Polarization via the NLRP3/Caspase-1 Pathway

Figure 1

KORs improve cerebral damage and rescue PND in CPB rats. (a) Morris water maze experiments were carried out 3 days after the operation for detection of rats’ cognitive functions. Escape latency for reaching hidden platforms, platform-crossing times, and residence duration in target quadrant for rats in each group (n = 10/group) was recorded on the 5th day of the Morris water maze experiment as the first 4 days were of acquisition training. (b) Histopathological changes in rats’ hippocampal CA1 region were observed using HE staining (scale bar = 50 μm). (c) Contents of S-100β (pg/ml) and NSE (ng/ml) in rats’ brain tissue samples were determined using ELISA. All data in charts were represented as mean ± standard deviation; “” was labeled when the comparative significance between groups ( value) was less than 0.05.
