The LPS Responsiveness in BN and LEW Rats and Its Severity Are Modulated by the Liver

<div>The LPS-induced inflammatory response was compared in LEW and BN rats. Hepatic TNF-<i>α</i> (a) and IL-6 (b) mRNA expression was measured from LEW and BN rats 6 h after LPS challenge. Serum TNF-<i>α</i> (c) and IL-6 (d) protein levels were measured from LEW and BN rats 6 h after LPS injection by using ELISA.
