CdrV and CBr stimulate the synthesis of prostaglandins D2, E2, and thromboxane A₂ in peritoneal macrophages. Elicited macrophages ( cells), collected from three independent experiments with 3 to 5 animals, were incubated with CdrV and CBr (6.5 μg/mL) or RPMI (control) for 1 up to 12 h. PGD₂, PGE₂, and TXA₂ were quantified in culture supernatants by specific EIA. Values represent the from 3 to 4 experiments. as compared with the control group.
