Dual Role of Insulin-Like Growth Factor (IGF)-I in American Tegumentary Leishmaniasis

<div>Effect of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-I on <i>Leishmania</i> (<i>Viannia</i>) <i>braziliensis</i> promastigote proliferation. In vitro <i>L. braziliensis</i> growth curve in the presence (black circle) or absence (white circle) of 50 ng/mL rIGF-I. Live promastigotes were counted every day for five days.
