The expression of IFN-γ was higher in CD69+ and CD103− T cells than CD69− and CD103+ T cells when stimulated by PMA and ionomycin. (a) Live and singlet TRM cells from lavage fluid, nasal, trachea, and lung tissues were gated on CD3+CD44high, CD4+CD44high, and CD8+CD44high T cells and subsequently analyzed on the expression of IFN-γ by flow cytometry. All cells were stimulated for 6 hrs with PMA and ionomycin in the presence of BFA in flow tubes. (b) The cells were detected for the frequency of INF-γ in CD69−/+ or CD103−/+ cells by FACS.
