Ion Transport Modulators Differentially Modulate Inflammatory Responses in THP-1-Derived Macrophages

<div>Effects of ion transport modulators on the production of superoxide by THP-1-derived macrophages. Macrophages were stimulated with ethanol-inactivated <i>M. bovis</i> BCG in the presence of the test drugs over 30 minutes, and production of superoxide was assessed using the NBT assay. Superoxide production was compared between the different cultures using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Dunnett’s post hoc test. Data are presented as mean (+SD) of six replicates pooled from two independent experiments.
