Activation of the Innate Immune Checkpoint CLEC5A on Myeloid Cells in the Absence of Danger Signals Modulates Macrophages’ Function but Does Not Trigger the Adaptive T Cell Immune Response

Antibody-mediated activation of the CLEC5A receptor on human MdM leads to a mixed cytokine response. Monocytes isolated from six donors were differentiated into M0 MdM and then transferred onto culture plates coated with 10 μg/ml α-CLEC5A Ab or with the isotype ctrl. Cell culture supernatants were harvested 24 h later and tested for several cytokines with MSD or ELISA kits. Values represent the mean ± SD from three technical replicates per each donor.
