Experimentally Induced Bleaching in the Sea Anemone Exaiptasia Supports Glucose as a Main Metabolite Associated with Its Symbiosis

Glycerol 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPDH) and glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) specific activity in anemones in the symbiotic state compared to bleached anemones. Values are the means of three independent determinations ± SD. Specific activity in units (μmol substrate converted min−1) per gram of protein mass. For each sample, three assays were performed (technical replicates) and averaged.
