Effect of MWCNT on TGF-β1 expression. BEAS-2B cells were exposed to 0.02–0.2 μg/cm2 of SD-MWCNT for 48 h. Endogenous TGF-β1 levels in cell lysates were measured by Western blotting and compared with nontreated Survanta only control. (a) TGF-β1 levels (45–50 kD) were quantified by gel densitometry.
