Effects of Strategically Placed Water Droplets on Monolayer Growth of Molybdenum Disulfide

Raman spectra obtained from (a) MoS2 monolayer films, following the growth process, which is shown in Figure 2(c). The frequency difference of 19.3 cm−1 between the peaks confirms that the film is a monolayer. (b) MoS2 bilayer films, following the growth process, which is shown in Figure 2(a). The frequency difference of 22.7 cm−1 between peaks confirms bilayer MoS2 formation. Insets show the corresponding optical images of the sample surface.
