The expression of Tks5 and that of αSMA were associated with poor survival. Immunohistochemical detection of Tks5 and αSMA was carried out on a cohort of 60 patients with OSCC. The expression of the two markers was assessed by blinded reviewers and categorized as low (Tks5– or αSMA–) or high (Tks5+ or αSMA+). (a) Representative images of high- and low-expression cases.
