Propofol Prevents the Growth, Migration, Invasion, and Glycolysis of Colorectal Cancer Cells by Downregulating Lactate Dehydrogenase Both In Vitro and In Vivo

<div>Overexpression of LDH partially attenuated the reductions in CRC cell viability, migration, and invasion mediated by propofol. Propofol or/and LDH-overexpression plasmids were used to treat HCT-116 and LoVo cells. (a) Wound healing assays were performed to detect changes in cell migration ability. (b) CCK-8 assays were performed to evaluate cell viability. (c) An ELISA kit was used to detect and quantitate caspase 3 activity. (d) Caspase 3 protein expression was analyzed by western blotting. (e) Changes in cell invasion ability were detected by Transwell assays, and the numbers of invasive cells were counted.</div>
