Long-Term Observations of Thickness Changes of Each Retinal Layer following Macular Hole Surgery

<div>Mean thicknesses of the inner retinal layer (IRL) are plotted for the MH eyes treated with ILM peeling. In the temporal/superior (a) and temporal/inferior (b) quadrants, the IRL thickness significantly decreases with postoperative time up to 6 months with subsequent stability. Significant thinning of the IRL was found between the baseline (preoperative eyes) and postoperative eyes at 1.5 months and thereafter.
