Long-Term Observations of Thickness Changes of Each Retinal Layer following Macular Hole Surgery

Mean thicknesses of the middle retinal layer (MRL) are plotted for the MH eyes treated with ILM peeling. In the temporal/superior (a), temporal/inferior (b), nasal/superior (c), and nasal/inferior quadrants (d), the MRL of the treated eyes is thicker at 0.5 months with significant difference from that of the baseline (preoperative eyes). In the temporal quadrants, the MRL is thinner with significant difference from that of the baseline after the month 18.
