On the Interpretation of 3D Gyroscope Measurements

Angular orientation errors, expressed as normalized deviation angles, and error reduction for different angular velocity dynamics. We can observe that for both the simultaneous and sequential interpretations of 3D gyroscope measurements, in general, the error increases as the average angular velocity change becomes larger. However, for all considered measurements, significant error reduction is achieved if the measured values are correctly interpreted as simultaneous rotations.
