Purified DFCs and HERS cells were observed under a phase-contrast microscope (PH) and identified by immunofluorescence staining. HERS cells were positive for CK-14 (red fluorescence) but negative for vimentin (green fluorescence); DFCs showed the opposite staining of CK-14 and vimentin to HERS cells ().
