Protective effect of SUL on A-induced pro-apoptotic signals. SH-SY5Y cells were exposed to 15 M of A in the presence or absence of SUL (2 M and 5 M) for 24 h. Activation of JNK (a) and expression of Bcl-2 family proteins (b) were assessed by western blot analysis using anti-phospho-JNK, anti-JNK, anti-Bcl-2, anti-Bax, and anti-actin antibodies. Actin levels were monitored to verify equal amount of protein loading. Relative expression levels of p-JNK/JNK and Bax/Bcl-2 were quantified from three independent experiments and are represented on the right panels.
