Quantization of the inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and caspase-3 bands obtained by western blot. The iNOS and caspase-3 were less present in aged rats pretreated with antioxidants indicating that the reduction in cell death was due to lower activation of tissue damage and apoptotic death.
