CBX protects astrocyte cultures from MG-induced cytotoxicity. Representative fields of astrocytes and C6 cultures treated with 1 mM MG for 24 h in the presence of PI. CBX was added 15 min before MG exposure, and cells were then coincubated with MG for 24 h. Phase contrast and nuclear fluorescent staining are shown under control conditions (A, B, G, H), MG exposure at 1 mM (C, D, I, J), and 1 mM MG + 0.1 mM CBX (E, F, K, L).
