Honokiol Protects against Anti-<i>β</i>1-Adrenergic Receptor Autoantibody-Induced Myocardial Dysfunction via Activation of Autophagy

<div>Immunization against <i>β</i>1-AR-ECII induced a high-level accumulation of <i>β</i>1-AAB in the blood. <i>β</i>1-AR-ECII (<i>β</i>1-AAB group) or saline (control group) were subcutaneously injected into adult rats. Antibody titer in the blood was defined by OD value. At the beginning, <i>β</i>1-AABs in the two groups were similarly low. However, β1-AABs were sharply increased in the first four weeks and maintained high in the <i>β</i>1-AR-ECII treatment group.
