Atorvastatin Downregulates <i>In Vitro</i> Methyl Methanesulfonate and Cyclophosphamide Alkylation-Mediated Cellular and DNA Injuries

<div>Effect of cotreatment with atorvastatin (AVA) after 24 h of coexposure with alkylating agents. HepG2 cells were coexposed to AVA from 0.1 to 100 <i>μ</i>M. It is possible to observe that AVA induced a significant cytoprotective effect in hepatic cells coexposed to (a) 20 <i>μ</i>M MMS at 1.0 and 10.0 <i>μ</i>M. The same effect was observed against (b) 100 <i>μ</i>M CPA from 0.1 to 10.0 <i>μ</i>M (<svg height="14.9569pt" id="M117" style="vertical-align:-3.429399pt" version="1.1" viewbox="-0.0498162 -11.5275
